Genting Highlands Premium Outlets 15th Anniversary Sale: Up to 80% Off from 10 to 13 September, and Only Thursday Earns the Cable Car
Genting Highlands Premium Outlets turns 15 this month and marks it with four days of tenant sales, 10 to 13 September 2026, 10am to 10pm. The centre's own anniversary listing carries 73 dated brand offers. Its deals index carries 43. Only one brand sits on the deals index and not the listing, while 34 sit on the listing and never appear on the deals index at all, including Coach at 50% off storewide, Citizen's second watch at RM1 and La Senza's buy one free three. On eleven brands the two pages disagree: the deals index has New Balance selling a third item at RM1 while the anniversary listing has it at 50% off three, and on Guess and Sunglass Hut the index quietly publishes money the listing leaves out. A third offer, Skechers, is on both pages but not on the Skechers store page, because the mall has filed it under a retired duplicate record with the wrong suite number. And the RM200 cable car redemption that shoppers reach for runs Monday to Thursday only, so of the four sale days exactly one qualifies. We re-read all four of the centre's surfaces on the morning of 10 September, opening day, and the whole mess is still there. Here is every offer, the arithmetic on the ones worth the drive up, and the ones that are worse than what the same shop gives away for free all year.
Pacific's 58th Anniversary Shop & Win Closes 16 September: RM50 Buys One Entry, However Much You Spend
The Store Group's 58th Anniversary Shop & Win has been running since 22 May 2026 and stops accepting entries on 16 September. Spend RM50 in a single receipt at a Pacific, Pacific Grocer, The Store, Market Place, TS Concept Store or Super Jimat, scan the QR, upload the receipt, and you are in the draw for a Proton e.MAS 5. We read the full official terms on the organiser's own entry site this run, and the line that matters is buried in the middle of them: each purchase receipt is entitled to one entry only, regardless of the total purchase amount. A RM500 receipt and a RM50 receipt are worth exactly the same. Two more things the posters do not tell you: winners pay the registration, insurance and road tax on the cars themselves, and anyone who does not turn up in person at the prize ceremony forfeits the prize. This is also the rare national campaign that is almost entirely out of town: Pacific's own store list runs to ten outlets across Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Johor, and not one of them is in Kuala Lumpur or Selangor.
Genting SkyWorlds Charges RM168 at the Counter. One Card Brings It Down to RM65
Every rate card Resorts World Genting publishes points the same way: book online at least a day ahead or pay double at the gate. The Kad Pekerja MADANI offer is the one exception. It is a RM65 one-day standard ticket to Genting SkyWorlds, sold only at the ticketing counter, only to holders of the union workers' card, and it runs all the way to 31 December 2026. That is RM103 below the Malaysian walk-in price and RM23 below the advance online price, which makes it the only counter rate on the hill that beats booking ahead. We read RWG's own offer page, all three Genting SkyWorlds rate cards and the Unlimited Pass terms this run to work out who actually gains, and the three groups who should ignore it.
Genting Highlands Attraction Prices 2026: The Booking Window That Halves a Ticket, and the Museum That Is Packing for Melaka
Almost every price quoted for Genting Highlands is the wrong one. Resorts World Genting runs two rate cards at nearly every gate, one for Malaysians and one for everyone else, and a third ladder on top of that for anyone who books at least a day ahead. The gap is not small. A Genting SkyWorlds adult ticket is RM88 booked online by a Malaysian and RM168 bought at the counter on the day, which is exactly what a foreign visitor pays online. Skytropolis has a Pahang MyKad rate of RM54 that no aggregator prints. Snow World is RM88 with a MyKad and RM118 without. We read every official rate card on the hill this run, worked out what each gate really costs, and checked what is actually still trading — including the Ripley's museum whose own website has already moved to Melaka while the rest of its Genting complex keeps selling tickets.

Almost everyone who shops at Genting Highlands Premium Outlets pays full price for the theme park afterwards. They should not have to. Five separate centre-level programmes are running at KM13 right now, and only the newest is a tenant sale. The headline one, Premium Outlets x Genting Rewards, runs 1 July to 30 September 2026: earn 6GP in a single day at the outlet and you can pull a Genting SkyWorlds 1-Day Standard Ticket through the RW Genting app, and Genting Rewards pays 1GP for every RM100 spent — so RM600 of shopping in one day returns a ticket that a Malaysian pays RM168 for at the gate, or RM88 booked online a day ahead. Three GP gets a Skytropolis 1-Day Unlimited Ride Pass; two GP gets two Eufloria Gardens tickets. Running underneath it all year, a single RM200 receipt redeems a free cable car return ticket Monday to Thursday, or a free train ride ticket on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. The fifth is brand-new and lands this weekend: the outlet's National Day Specials run 28 to 30 August 2026 with savings up to 65% and sixteen named tenant sales, and because those three days are a Friday to Sunday they line up with the free train ride, not the cable car. The catch is that e-wallet payments earn nothing, the card has to be presented at the till, only 65 of the outlet's brands participate, and the Maybank voucher programme sitting alongside these excludes Malaysian-issued cards entirely.

Most Kuantan itineraries are copied from each other, and most of them still send you to attractions that are currently closed. Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan runs its own tourism portal listing hours, distances and ticket prices for every stop in the district, and read carefully it says two useful things nobody repeats. First, the Sungai Lembing mine tunnel, Bukit Panorama and the Cherating Turtle Sanctuary are all listed as closed for maintenance — three of the town's postcard stops, gone from the plan. Second, the prices are not what aggregators quote: Menara Kuantan 188's own ticketing site charges a Malaysian adult RM13 for the Observation Deck from Monday to Thursday but RM23 from Friday to Sunday and on public and school holidays, against RM38 for an international visitor on any day; the Sungai Lembing museum is RM2 with children free, Gua Charas is RM2, and the state's royal weaving complex is free. The strangest number sits at Jeti Shahbandar, where two river cruises leave from the same jetty at RM99 and RM18 a head. Resorts World Genting has finally put up its 2026 Merdeka campaign — Merdeka Cara Kita, Bebas Tanpa Batas — and the single most useful line in it is a RM38 one-day ticket to Genting SkyWorlds for senior citizens aged 60 and above, children between 90cm and 110cm, and guests with disabilities, live from 17 August. Around it sits a shop-and-play carnival at SkyAvenue with RM269 and RM369 receipt thresholds, three free days of Merdeka activities at Resorts World Awana, a five-artist National Day concert at Arena of Stars from RM148, a Merdeka lobster menu, and 40% off villa stays. It is a campaign built out of a dozen separate offers with a dozen separate end dates — here is which ones are worth the drive up, and which ones quietly are not.
Berjaya's 69th Merdeka Specials: Langkawi From RM450+ To 16 Sep, Island Extra 10% Ends 31 Aug
Berjaya Hotels & Resorts has put its Merdeka campaign on the island properties this year, and the numbers are worth reading properly. Berjaya Langkawi Resort has a named package, Celebrate Malaysia in Nature, from RM450+ room-only and RM470+ with breakfast, bookable right through to 16 September. The three east-coast island resorts — The Taaras, Redang Island Resort and Berjaya Tioman — get an additional up to 10% off on top of existing promotional rates, each with a one-time RM69 dining discount attached. The catch is in the dates: the campaign header, the individual property cards and the Langkawi offer page print three different sets of deadlines, and the Langkawi package is fully prepaid and non-refundable 14 days out. Re-checked 31 August 2026 — the extra-10% mechanic closes tonight with no extension published, but Berjaya Tioman has already replaced it with an End-of-Season Sale at up to 35% off Best Available Rates for September and October stays, and Redang Island Resort now publishes a straight RM394 nett per person two-night package.
