Dusit Princess Ipoh Grand Opening Special: Rooms From RM232 With RM50 Dining Credit, Priced Against Its Own Rate Card
Dusit Princess Ipoh opens on 1 October 2026 in the building that was Travelodge Ipoh, next to the Perak Turf Club. Its Grand Opening Special runs for stays from 1 October to 31 December and adds RM50 of daily dining credit. We priced it on the hotel's live booking engine on 13 September and re-checked every rate on 20 September: a weekday Superior room is RM232 against RM290 on the flexible rate, a Saturday is RM256 against RM320, and RM232 becomes RM253.56 once tax is added. The catch is that the opening rate is prepaid and cannot be cancelled, changed or refunded.

Golf in Ipoh and Perak 2026: RM71 or RM458 for a Weekday Round, and Meru Valley's RM200 Deal Until 30 September
We read the rate card of every Perak golf club that publishes one, on 11 September 2026. A weekday 18 holes with a buggy costs RM71.40 at Teluk Intan and RM458.60 at Meru Valley, a spread of more than six times inside one state. Kinta Golf Club publishes the clearest all-in card at RM102, Damai Laut sells only packages from RM116 nett, Clearwater's fee page still quotes GST, and Royal Perak has taken its rate card down. Meru Valley's RM200 Swing Into Malaysia Day round runs on weekdays until 30 September; re-checked on 22 September, no rate has changed and Meru has posted nothing for October yet.

Pacific's October Great Value Promotion ended on 21 October. The new 24-page Deepavali Sale mailer runs 22 October to 11 November 2026 with Sweetkiss and Kise hampers from RM75, 10kg rice from RM29.99 and up to 80% off in the department store. A Weekend Sale and Pacific Grocer Value Promo run 22 to 25 October, and Dr.P and Drypers diapers are on promotion to 11 November. Lost World of Tambun's Own Promo Codes: RM40 Off an Ipoh Day Ticket, RM450 Off the Hot Springs Pass
Sunway Lost World of Tambun prints two promo codes on its own ticket store and explains neither. We put both through the cart on 7 September 2026, re-tested them on 8 September, and the results invert. On day tickets, WS2602MYKAD is the real one: a Malaysian adult theme park ticket falls from RM160 to RM120, a child from RM140 to RM103, and a night park adult from RM130 to RM100. WS2602ONLINE is worth only RM5 to RM7 there. On the Hot Springs and Night Park Annual Pass it is the other way round. WS2602MYKAD is refused outright, while WS2602ONLINE takes the pass from RM648 to RM198, a RM450 cut that pays for itself on your second night visit. Two things to know before you buy: the store accepts only one code per cart, so the pass and the day tickets have to be two separate transactions, and every night park ticket is void on the nine October and November nights that belong to Screamfest 5.
Cinema Ticket Prices in Malaysia 2026: What Every Surviving Chain Actually Charges, From RM10 to RM115
Malaysia lost two cinema chains in eighteen months. mmCineplexes shut all 13 halls on 22 September 2025 after its parent entered creditors' voluntary liquidation, and MBO Cinemas closed its remaining eight sites in March 2026. We checked every surviving operator's own website on 7 September 2026, all the way through to the ticket-type screen, re-checked every one of them on 17 September, and checked them all again on 25 October. The two chains everyone dismisses as obscure are the two that print their prices most plainly. Dadi Cinema shows a ringgit figure beside every showtime before you click anything. Mega Cineplex reveals adult, twin and Premier Hall prices two clicks in, with no login. Only one surviving chain genuinely publishes nothing. AEON Ipoh Stamp Card, Till 25 November: Why One RM400 Receipt Earns Less Than Eight RM50 Ones
AEON is running a stamp card at its Ipoh store called Stamp It, Fill It, Redeem It. Cards are issued until 27 October 2026 and the last day to redeem is 25 November 2026. The mechanic looks ordinary until you read the one line that matters: a stamp is earned per receipt, not per ringgit. One receipt of RM50 earns exactly the same single stamp as one receipt of RM400. That inverts the usual supermarket logic and decides whether the card is worth carrying at all. We worked out what a full card costs an AEON member versus a non-member, why the free membership is worth RM240 of avoided spending here, and why redeeming at four stamps quietly cancels the better reward at eight.
Sunway Lost World Hotel Stay & Play Ended 30 Sep: What an Ipoh Theme Park Stay Costs Now (Oct 2026)
Sunway Lost World Hotel's Stay & Play package ended on 30 September 2026. On 2 October we searched the hotel's own booking engine for 18 dates to 8 December and found no theme park bundle anywhere. The ordinary room still includes breakfast and the Hot Springs & Night Park at RM387 on Sunday to Thursday. Adding two theme park tickets bought with Sunway's own WS2602MYKAD code makes it RM627 for a couple, RM116 more than the package. The hotel is closed on Friday 16 October, and Screamfest nights cost about RM20 more.
